MUSIC ROUNDUP: January Releases 2018
Before we say goodbye to the first month of the year, we recap some of the best new releases January had to offer us, coming from SAMA favourites old and new:
Young Fathers – ‘In My View’
Powerhouse trio announce their album and release the second single with a video that captured our attention. Young Fathers continue to impress with ‘In My View’ and we look forward to seeing them live a the SOLD OUT Barrowlands on March 24th!
LUCIA – ‘Melted Ice Cream’
From Sweet Jane Recordings, ‘Melted Ice Cream’ A single that has been on repeat for its impressive strong vocals and catchy lyrics intertwined with its powerful guitar. Have a Listen below.
Carla J Easton – ‘Lights In The Dark’
Carla J Easton of TeenCanteen and Ette has released a new single from a solo project. “Lights In The Dark” boasts a heavy synth vibe and powerful lyrics. In Spring 2017, Carla J Easton was on the annual singer songwriter residency at the Banff Centre, Canada where most of the album was written. Dancing On Tables – ‘Missing’
Starting 2018 strong, Dancing On Tables have released “Missing”. A catchy song that will have you humming along. Released on LV Music with an artistic video.
Folda – ‘aurora’
An exciting new band debuted themselves with a strong synth pop track – ‘aurora’. Made up of Mark Morrow, David Ritchie, Ewan Simpson and Steve Morrison, we expect to hear a lot more from this band in 2018!
The XCERTS – ‘Hold on to Your Heart”
Back with a new single and title track from their new album. The XCERTS release a personal sounding track along with a brilliant album readily available to stream on all major platforms. The XCERTS play Glasgow on Friday 23rd February at O2 ABC Glasgow.
