Legendary Glasgow Rapper Loki AKA Darren McGarvey has returned with this thought provoking, hard hitting ‘I Wish I Was Dead’. Build with a solid foundation of a 808 bass, the acoustic guitar hook and a lurching beat McGarvey is able to spin a tale so vivid you can almost see through his eyes.

Godeater - You Are No Exception

Godeater have brought ‘You Are No Exception’ screaming into 2020! Starting with blistering blast beats, the energy never lets up throughout. Guttural screams matched with concrete-solid guitar lines form the focal point of this engaging slice of death metal.

Lizabett Russo - Two Hands Together

‘Two Hands Together’ is the first single release of 2020 for singer/songwriter Lizabett Russo. An ethereal and encapsulating performance, Russo’s vocals are infatuating. With the dense mix of instruments propelling the track forward through the singer’s sound of contemporary jazz and folk influences.

Nimbus Sextet - Lily White (Ghostchant remix)

Glasgow based contemporary jazz group, Nimbus Sextet have teamed up with Liverpool-based DJ Ghostchant to create a smooth new remix of ‘Lily White’. Having been one of two singles released by the Sextet this year, this remix brings out some of the core elements of the track in a new light. Mixing wavy synths with furious jazz sax and guitar solos to create the hooks.

Nova - 24

Fresh off the back of her outstanding performance at this year's virtual SAMA Ceremony, Nova has packed another punch in the form of ‘24’. A fiery and energetic track, the young artists weaves in and around the hooks with her sublime flow.

PINLIGHT - Grow Slow/Now Breathe (Yoko Pwno remix)

Kicking off with instantly groovy synth lines, PINLIGHT’s latest single ‘Grow Slow’ gets a redux courtesy of Yoko Pwno. Mixing the infectious synth lines that make the original so enjoyable with a new layer of pumping dance rhythms and glitched out vocal samples.

Quail, AISHA - Leather-bound

The hypnotic pull of the pounding kick drum starts this latest track from local techno stalwart Quail, with newcomer AISHA on hand to push these space age sounds further. Building into a euphoric climax right at the precipice of “Leather-bound”, this track continues to provide enveloping sounds throughout.

Russell Stewart - Citrus

Alt-soul artist Russell Stewart has returned with the exceptional ‘Citrus’. Bringing together the impassioned vocal performance that has stolen hearts up and down Glasgow with a groove that is ridiculously infectious. Having recently filmed a live session for this year's Virtual Resonate Conference, we were able to get a glimpse of this sound on a live stage.

Spyres - I Don’t Care

Young Indie quartet Spyres throw caution into the wind with this brand new single ‘I Dont Care’. A raucous slice of ferocious guitar work and a catchy chorus that deserves to be shouted back to this band by a room full of people.

VUKOVI - SLO

Coming as their second release this year, behind their second full length “Fall Better”, Vukovi have unleashed ’Slo’ onto the world. Driven by an emotive vocal performance from Janine Shilstone, the track packs a powerful chorus. Throwing in an angular breakdown at the latter half of the track, proves that this duo clearly know how to write a powerful track.
