Ask Alice, LOWT - Free World

The duo of Ask Alice and LOWT on this latest track, Free World, is truly a stroke of genius. The combination of LOWT’s production and general musical magic with the powerhouse vocals of Ask Alice (AKA Natalie Joy) makes for an enveloping listen.

Calum Mason - O Sister

Coming as the sophomore release from rising art-rock artist Calum Mason, O Sister is a stunning blend of trad folk with the stellar guitar playing and tight drumming providing a suitable backdrop for Mason’s impassioned vocals.

CLAIR - Queen Bee

The debut single from CLAIR is a slow burning, atmospheric song that draws you in with the bubbling soundscape before easing you into this world of beauty with waves of synthesisers, soft shards of vocals and steel drums.

Clarissa Woods - Pretty Little Thing

A rowdy and bodacious outing for rising Hip Hop artist Clarissa Woods, Pretty Little Thing is immediately in your face without a care. The thumping 808’s and Woods’ sleek rhymes and vocals are a joy to listen to.

Hannymoon - Kash

With a stacked set of releases from last year and the beginning of this year, up and coming Hip Hop artist Hannymoon shows no signs of slowing down. Kash is the fifth release from the burgeoning artist, a short and sweet number that lays the hook down over a smooth beat.

Koreless - Joy Squad

After relocating to Glasgow from Wales, Koreless AKA Lewis Roberts has been sucked into the local electronic music scene ever since. Joy Squad is a glitchy and hard hitting spat of techno and electronicia.

Midnight Ambulance - 5 AM

Evolving out of a rekindled friendship and excess of time during lockdown, Midnight Ambulance have arrived with the second single this year. 5AM’s tense vocal performance works well with the tight guitar licks and chords, before exploding into a cacophony of distortion. With airplay from Vic Galloway on BBC Radio Scotland this power duo will no doubt be ready to take the scene by storm when live shows return.

Rachael Bisset - if it’s too soon let me know

Dundee-based singer/songwriter Rachael Bisset has blessed us with the tender and affectionate new track if its too soon let me know. Driven by plucked guitar chords, the main focus of the track is on Bissets gorgeous vocals that weave in and around the backing beat.

TAAHLIAH, Lady Neptune - Tears

Coming from the debut LP Angelica, two time SAMA winner TAAHLIAH holds nothing back with this hyperpop masterclass. Collaborating with Gabber artist Lady Neptune, the track is an epic sonic adventure.

Union of Knives - There’s a River

Preceding the sophomore LP due this year, Union of Knives have let us have a peak at whats in store. There’s A River is a throbbing mass of synth and pulsating drums. Eeire melodies creep in and out as the menacing and commanding vocals of Chris Gordon hold you in your place.
